Kane

A wolf shifter of the Zorah pack, and one of Levi’s three brothers. He waited out the thousand-year curse alone in a cabin on the island, carving furniture in his workshop, until Tami’s car went off the road into the forest.

Kane’s pack were carpenters and architects in their village in Kenya before King Amir summoned them to Scandinavia to fight the Great War. They lost it. He stood with Gabriel and Micah while Levi, their newly appointed alpha, knelt and admitted their failure to the king. They had lost their parents, most of the pack, and their mates.

The Bailey witches’ curse followed: a thousand years in which no supernatural could age, love, or have children. Kane spent them on the island, mostly alone — a cabin, a workshop, hunts, apples from the orchard, and furniture carved by hand. Levi kept faith in the Goddess and in King Amir’s prophecy that the curse would lift and they would find their mates on their own land. Kane mostly wanted to stop existing.

One Bailey witch of this generation went against her bloodline and lifted the curse. Not long after, Tristian of the Axel Clan pulled a half-dead woman from a wrecked car in the forest and said she was fated to someone here.
